Diesel tuning in Brisbane for common-rail utes and 4WDs

Remapping done with the mechanical side in mind — because a diesel that smokes, rattles or overheats needs fixing before it needs more fuel.

Common-rail diesels respond well to tuning, but only when the engine underneath is healthy. Before writing a map we look at the basics: injector condition, boost control, intercooling, DPF state and how the clutch is holding up. It's a short check that avoids expensive disappointment.

From there we write a map for the outcome you're after — a towing map, an economy-leaning map, or a performance map with supporting hardware.

What we do

Diesel ECU remapping

Fuelling, boost and timing adjusted for your engine and hardware, with exhaust temperature kept in a sensible window. Every map is road tested before you get the keys.

Diesel diagnostics first

Smoke, limp mode, poor economy and hard starting usually have a mechanical cause. Scan-tool diagnosis and injector testing come before tuning, not after.

Injector testing and supply

Supporting hardware

Exhaust systems to reduce backpressure and heavy-duty clutches to hold the extra torque are the two upgrades most tuned diesels end up needing.

  • DPF-back and turbo-back exhaust systems
  • Organic and ceramic heavy-duty clutch kits
  • Injector supply, testing and fitting

Frequently asked questions

Will a diesel tune improve fuel economy?

It can on the highway, mostly because you use less throttle for the same result. Around town, or if the extra torque changes how you drive, the gain shrinks. We'd rather set that expectation now than after.

Is remapping safe for the engine?

A conservative map on a healthy engine, with exhaust temperatures watched, is well within what these engines handle. Chasing maximum numbers on a tired engine is not, and we won't do it.

Do you tune vehicles with a DPF fitted?

Yes. We tune vehicles in road-legal, emissions-compliant configuration.

What does it cost?

It depends on the vehicle and the work involved, so we quote per job. Call us on (07) 3300 6558 or send an enquiry and we'll price it.
