4WD tuning in Brisbane — maps written for how you actually drive

Custom diesel tuning for 4x4s that tow, tour or work. Torque where you use it, sensible EGTs, and hardware matched to the map.

A tune is only as good as what's bolted to the engine. We tune around the vehicle in front of us — its exhaust, intake, clutch capacity, fuel system condition and what you tow — rather than loading a generic file and sending you out the door.

Most customers come to us for one of three outcomes: better response and less gear-hunting while towing, cleaner economy on the highway, or more power on a built ute. Those are different maps, and we'll tell you which one suits your setup.

What we do

Towing tunes

Mid-range torque and throttle response so the vehicle holds a gear up a hill with a van behind it. We keep an eye on exhaust temperatures and transmission behaviour rather than chasing a peak number.

Economy tunes

Smoother part-throttle delivery for highway and daily driving. Real-world gains depend on the vehicle and how it's driven — we'll be straight with you about what to expect.

Performance tunes with supporting hardware

Bigger power needs the driveline to cope. Where a tune outruns the standard clutch or exhaust, we'll say so and quote the upgrade instead of tuning around a part that's about to let go.

  • Exhaust upgrades to reduce backpressure
  • Heavy-duty clutch to hold the extra torque
  • Injector testing where fuelling is marginal
Exhaust systems

Tuning alongside the rest of the build

Because we also fit clutches, exhausts, suspension and injectors, the tune can be scheduled with the hardware in the same visit — one workshop, one plan for the vehicle.

Frequently asked questions

Will tuning affect my clutch?

It can. Extra torque is what kills a standard clutch on a tuned ute. We check clutch condition before tuning and will recommend a heavy-duty kit if the numbers you want exceed what the standard unit holds.

Do I need an exhaust before tuning?

Not always, but a freer exhaust usually lets a tune make its torque with lower exhaust temperatures. We'll tell you whether it's worth it for your goals and budget.

How long does a tune take?

Plan on the vehicle being with us for the day so there's time to road test and refine. We'll confirm timing when you book.

Can you tune my 4WD for towing specifically?

Yes. Tell us the van or trailer weight and typical trips and we'll aim the map at usable mid-range torque and temperature control.
